Ruam MCP serverClosed beta

Ask Ruam from your AI assistant.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to work with apps. Connect Ruam to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any assistant that supports it, and ask about hours, time off and approvals in plain words.

Ruam in your AI assistant is in closed beta. Want early access? Email hello@ruam.ai. The address and setup steps will be here when it opens to everyone. Nothing to install, no API key, on every plan, Free included.

What it can do.

Your assistant reads from Ruam with your access. From Team up, it can also ask to change things, and you confirm each change.

ApprovalsWhat's waiting for youApprove or decline, after you confirm in RuamTeam and up

Questions about the team follow your role: a manager can ask about their team, a member about their own time. More areas come as Ruam adds them; see the changelog.

Try asking.

Your own time

  • “How many hours did I work this week?”
  • “How much time went to Northwind this month?”

Your team

  • “Who's working right now?”
  • “Who started late this week?”

What's waiting

  • “What's waiting for me to approve?”
  • “Approve Arjun's timesheet for last week.”

Changes you confirm.

When your assistant asks to change something, like approving a timesheet, nothing happens yet. Ruam shows you the change, and it only goes through when you press Confirm. If you don't, it expires after 10 minutes.

Also turn on your assistant's own tool approval, so you see each call before it runs. Take care when Ruam is connected next to other servers you don't trust: text from one tool can try to steer another.

What it never gets.

Your assistant gets hours, names and short notes. Never sites, page titles, break times or leave reasons, whatever it asks. And because Ruam never records them, no assistant can ever get:

  • Screenshots or screen recordings
  • Keystrokes or mouse movements
  • Your camera or microphone
  • What's inside your files
  • Full web addresses

Manage access.

  • For a team. The owner chooses which assistants can connect to the team's Ruam. An assistant Ruam doesn't recognize by name can only ask questions.
  • For you. Disconnect an assistant any time in Ruam, and it stops on the very next question. Every connection ends on its own after 90 days.
  • At work. If your company manages your computer or network, IT may need to allow mcp.ruam.ai.

Plans and limits.

Every plan can ask. Each plan has a daily limit on questions and changes, and higher plans get more.

Troubleshooting.

My assistant asks me to sign in again.

The connection ended: someone disconnected it, or 90 days passed. Connect again and press Allow.

My assistant can't make changes.

Changes need the Team plan or higher, an assistant Ruam recognizes by name, and your team's owner allowing that assistant. Questions work on every plan.

It says Ruam needs a short break.

You reached your plan's limit for a minute or a day. Try again in a minute, or tomorrow for the daily limit.

Ruam doesn't connect at work.

If your company manages your computer or network, ask IT to allow mcp.ruam.ai.

Do I need an API key?

No. You sign in with your Ruam account when your assistant connects, and press Allow. There's no key to copy or store.

Is my Ruam data used to train AI models?

Ruam does not use customer data to train AI models. What your assistant does with an answer is set by that assistant's own terms.
